In a significant boost to their ongoing efforts to empower black-owned small, medium, and micro-enterprises (SMMEs), Inyosi Empowerment has received a generous donation of 80 Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) units from AutoX, who is well known in the Automotive Battery Industry for its Willard and Sabat battery brands and a long standing partner of Inyosi Empowerment Investor.
This donation directly addresses the critical infrastructure need for 80 Inyosi SMME beneficiaries, ensuring their business continuity and resilience in the face of interrupted or the overall lack of power supply.
The UPS donation underscores the commitment of AutoX, a valued partner in Inyosi Empowerment’s mission, to go beyond financial investment and actively contribute to the sustainable growth of the SMMEs they support. By providing these essential UPS units, AutoX is directly tackling the impact of power outages, a significant hurdle for many developing businesses in South Africa.
“We are incredibly grateful to AutoX for this practical and impactful donation,” said Evan Jones, CEO, Inyosi. “Unreliable power supply can severely disrupt the operations of small businesses, leading to lost productivity and revenue. These donated UPS units will provide a vital energy buffer, allowing our SMME beneficiaries to maintain essential functions and protect their valuable equipment. This contribution truly demonstrates AutoX’s deep understanding of the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and their genuine commitment to empowerment.”
AutoX, an Inyosi Empowerment Investor since 2014, recognises the importance of creating an enabling environment for the businesses they support. “At AutoX, we believe that true empowerment goes beyond financial investment,” commented Tertius de Ridder, AutoX’s Procurement Manager. “We are a proud partner of Inyosi Empowerment and have witnessed the incredible potential that exists within the black-owned SMME sector. By donating these UPS units, we hope to provide tangible support that will help these businesses thrive and contribute meaningfully to the South African economy. We commend Inyosi’s tireless efforts in nurturing these enterprises, and we are honoured to play a role in their journey.”
As Inyosi Empowerment facilitated the distribution of the UPS units, recipients have expressed their appreciation for the tangible difference this donation will make to their daily operations. “I am at a total loss for words…I truly and honestly do not know what to say, or how to express my gratitude for all the assistance we have received and continue to receive from Inyosi and AutoX. There are so many ironies in receiving this UPS, my office let me know last week that our current UPS packed up – so the timing of receiving this UPS is spot on perfect!!” Faheem Harris, Managing Director, ZHAC Construction.
Anthea Gardener, Managing Director, Cartesian Capital said, “I got back to the office to a fantastic brand new, ESBox 3000 LiFEPO4 Uninterrupted Power Supply Unit which was delivered today. A huge T.H.A.N.K. Y.O.U. we will put it to good use and really appreciate it.”
Additional appreciation received from Focus Facilities Solutions, WRD Distributors, Silulo Ulutho Technologies, Quebar Electrical and Civil Engineering, Kapablock, Kamva Capital, Isivuvu Technical Solutions, Eden Security Services, Connector & Learn Technologies, Bhongoloncedo General Trading and Allenio Airlines and many more.
This collaboration between AutoX and Inyosi Empowerment is a shining light of how strategic partnerships and a shared vision for economic empowerment can yield tangible benefits for SMMEs. The donation of the UPS units is not just a provision of equipment; it’s an investment in the stability, growth, and ultimately, the success of black-owned businesses in South Africa. It reflects the power of Inyosi Empowerment in connecting committed investors like AutoX with SMME businesses that have the potential to drive meaningful economic change.
