
Evan Jones
After completing his articles in 1995, Evan spent almost 30 years in the asset management industry. Evan is the founder of Inyosi and has developed Inyosi’s Enterprise and Supplier Development funds as a scalable and sustainable solution to a national B-BBEE need. Evan has overseen the growth and development of a well-supported and well recognized enterprise and supplier development business, and has managed to oversee the growth of the Inyosi team to almost 20 people over the past 10 years. Evan has also grown Inyosi’s offering to include being the Youth Employment Service (YES) implementation partner of choice to a number of Inyosi’s clients.

Sapna Gihwala
After graduating from the University of Cape Town (UCT) with a BBusSci in Finance with
Accounting, and before joining Inyosi as a Credit Analyst in 2018, Sapna spent some time as
a Credit Analyst at the Fintech company, Lulalend. Since joining Inyosi, Sapna has
completed her postgraduate degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management and
continued building on her experience and skillset which has aided her growth within Inyosi
Empowerment. Since being promoted to head of the investment team, Sapna is responsible
for overseeing the deal structuring and execution across the Supplier Development and
Enterprise Development funds.

Silke Roth
Silke is currently Head of Inyosi’s Post Investment Monitoring team. Since 2019, Silke has held various roles and responsibilities at Inyosi, and assisted with the comprehensive oversight and financial control of the Makhoba Programme – one of Inyosi’s largest and most challenging community support programmes.
Silke completed her articles in 1996 (Haumann Rodger & Partners, CT) and worked in various accounting roles in London (Internal Auditor – Guys & St Thomas’ National Health Service Trust and Management Accountant – Centaur Communications Ltd) and Cape Town (including as Group Accountant for The Foschini Group Ltd and Business Analysist for Old Mutual SA Ltd).
After spending some years at home raising her children. Silke provided accounting services on a pro bono basis for two animal focused NGO’s (Mdzananda Animal Clinic and Dassenberg Horse & Dog Rescue Centre). Silke joined the Inyosi team in 2020 and supports Inyosi with her strong financial and accounting knowledge, attention to detail and versatility.

Charné Booysen
Charné serves as the Post Investment Monitoring Fund Accountant, responsible for ensuring the accurate reconciliation of fund liabilities and assets. She also supports the Post Investment Team with all aspects of investment and loan administration.
Charné gained experience at Apex Group Limited as a trainee fund accountant, where she was responsible for performing portfolio NAV valuations for daily, monthly, and quarterly hedge fund reports and built a strong foundation in fund management. While completing her studies she first worked as a finance intern at Billionetworks, providing support to the finance team with bookkeeping and administrative tasks, and then as credit controller for Panalux/Panavision. During this time Charné also tutored investment management and financial accounting and acted as treasurer for Association of Black Investment Professionals at UWC. She gained membership to the Golden Key International Honour Society in her Honours year.

Chris Davis
Chris currently serves as a Senior Credit Dealmaker at Inyosi, having joined the team in
October 2024. In this capacity, he is responsible for deal structuring, due diligence, and
transaction execution.
His career in the financial sector began after earning a BCom Honours degree from the
University of Cape Town (UCT). He commenced his professional journey in private credit,
where he quickly showcased his expertise in financial analysis and investment strategies.
Through this experience, Chris developed a strong foundation in networking, deal
structuring, and implementation, positioning him as a valuable contributor in the industry.

Sihle Maneli
Sihle is responsible for the deal structuring, deal execution and legal agreement preparation
across the Supplier Development and Enterprise Development funds.
In 2018, Sihle obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Economics and
Business Management from Rhodes University, followed by an Honours degree in Business
Management from the same institution in 2019.
Prior to joining Inyosi in November 2023, Sihle worked at Swiss Re as an Assistant Analyst
in Client Markets, where she gained valuable experience in pricing for group life schemes.
She also worked as a Commercial Credit Analyst at Lula helping SMEs secure funding to
enhance their cash flow.

Mitchel Theron
Mitchel is a Junior Credit Dealmaker and is responsible for initial client engagement, deal

Mitchel completed his studies at the University of Stellenbosch where he obtained an
Honours and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Prior to joining Inyosi, Mitchel completed his articles at Ernst & Young in Cape Town and
qualified as a Charted Accountant.

Stephen Kemp
Stephen is a Junior Credit Dealmaker and is responsible for initial client engagement, deal
structuring, and legal agreement preparation.
Stephen completed his studies at the University of Stellenbosch where he obtained an
Honours- and Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Prior to joining Inyosi, Stephen completed his articles at KPMG and is eligible to register as a
Chartered Accountant.

Richard Stronach
Richard is the Head: Solar Investments. He is responsible for the deal structuring, deal
execution and post-deal monitoring for solar transactions. Inyosi Solar provides fully funded end-to end renewable energy solutions that are tailored to meet the energy needs of black- owned SME’s in South Africa. Inyosi Solar is able to provide these SME’s with an accessible path to affordable and high quality solar.
Richard completed articles in 1997 (PwC Cape Town) and spent several years with the firm in the UK and South Africa in Investment Management Audit, Transactions Services and Forensic Services. Richard then practiced as a Director of a medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants in Public Practice.
In 2008 Richard joined the Technology Innovation Agency focusing on support of SME
businesses in aspects of funding, financial and risk management, governance, as well as
monitoring and evaluation. After a year as Head of Risk at Zoona, a digital financial services and mobile money provider, Richard joined the Inyosi team on 1 February 2018 as Senior Portfolio Analyst.

Dayle Roffey
Dayle is a dynamic individual with a diverse range of interests and professional achievements. Growing up, Dayle has developed a passion for motorsport, beginning with motocross and BMX racing during his younger years, which instilled a love for adrenaline-fueled competition and outdoor activities.
Dayle has completed his studies at Stellenbosch University in accountancy, and completed his articles through BDO SA Inc. in Gauteng and is a registered Chartered Accountant. (CA(SA))
This foundational knowledge paved the way for a career specializing in asset management and compliance. Dayle is part of the Inyosi Solar team focusing on commercial solar energy deals.

Tania Munz
Tania currently heads the Inyosi Marketing and Sales division, assisting companies seeking to invest in Inyosi’s Enterprise and Supplier Development solutions.
Tania attained her Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from The University of Stellenbosch Business School. Tania’s career in the Financial Services industry began in December 1996.
Tania spent 13 years at Metropolitan Holdings as a Senior Broker Consultant when she was head hunted to join Cadiz Asset Management as an Investment Consultant. When the Cadiz Enterprise Development investment was developed in 2012, Tania formed part of the Sales Team. After 9 years with Cadiz, she joined the Inyosi Empowerment team.

Monica Kamteni
Monica is a personal assistant to Evan Jones and assists the Inyosi team with administration.
In addition to that, Monica assists with potential investor applications and existing investors’ documentation requirements.
Prior to joining Inyosi, Monica worked for ACF as a receptionist and for Stellar Credit as the team assistant. Monica completed her final year at the college of Cape Town, whereby she attained her basic office administration certificate and has recently completed a Business Communication course at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Majeda Isaacs
Majeda is an Administration Assistant to the Marketing Team at Inyosi Empowerment. She joined Inyosi Empowerment in October 2023. She holds a NQF5 in Banking.
Prior to joining Inyosi Empowerment, Majeda worked as a Finance Administration at Absa for 12 years and in order fulfilment and logistics for three years at Takealot.
Majeda provides exceptional service to Inyosi investors and assists with audit evidence to the verification agencies.

Sisanda Manzana
Sisanda is part of the post-investment monitoring team. Sisanda initially completed her internship with Inyosi as a finance administration clerk, where she assisted with book-keeping, and worked closely with the various departments within Inyosi. In addition, Sisanda assisted with key administration for the YES (Youth Employment Services) program and assisted with client relationship management.
In 2020, Sisanda attained her Advanced Diploma in management.

Rhonda October
Rhonda is a member of the Post-Investment Monitoring team. She began her career with Inyosi as bookkeeper for the Makhoba Programme, where she was responsible for maintaining up-to-date and reconciled accounting records. Following the completion of the Makhoba Programme, Rhonda transitioned into the Post-Investment Administration and Monitoring division, where she has added value with her quick learning and ability to understand systems.
Her strong interest in numbers led her to pursue a degree in accounting at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She is currently in her final year of completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Outside of her professional and academic commitments, Rhonda enjoys exploring nature, baking, and all things beauty.

Divan Snyman
Divan is Head: iHive, the procurement portal for Inyosi Empowerment. Divan’s responsibilities include facilitating procurement opportunities between investors and beneficiaries and assisting SMME to thrive. Prior to joining Inyosi, he held senior positions at Growthpoint Properties, Redefine Properties, Broll, and Camstone Asset Managers. Divan also project-managed the installation and operation of over 2MW of solar projects and has a passion for renewable energy, information technologies, and connecting clients and suppliers in the SMME’s space. Divan joined the Inyosi team in February 2022.

Pakamani Pungulwa
Pakamani is an iHive Assistant and manages the day-to-day administration of the procurement portal. Pakamani holds a Diploma in Management, majoring in Financial Management. During his academic career, he earned three merit awards for his academic excellence. Pakamani gained experience as an Administrative Assistant at Africa Skills Private College, where he honed his organizational and financial management skills. Passionate about efficiency and problem-solving, Pakamani strives to contribute effectively to every role he undertakes.

Womba Khapwale
Womba Khapwale joined the team in January 2023 as part of the iHive team and has since
transitioned to the investment team as an Investment Operations Coordinator. In this role,
she supports investment processes and compliance by reviewing financial documentation,
liaising with clients, and ensuring smooth transaction execution while overseeing operational
functions.
Prior to this role, Womba worked as a Financial Analyst at Ascot Wealth Management,
where she gained valuable experience in the UK pensions and investment sector.

Kelly Meyer
Kelly joined Inyosi in October 2023 and is responsible for coordinating Inyosi’s full stack development needed to support the Inyosi iHive procurement portal.
Kelly is a skilled full stack developer with a solid foundation in Systems Development and a proven track record of academic excellence. Graduating with a National Diploma NQF6 in Systems Development (cum laude) from Boston City Campus, Kelly has honed expertise in both front-end and back-end development, equipped with a deep understanding of modern software development methodologies.
Kelly is proficient in a wide range of programming languages and frameworks, including but not limited to: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Bootstrap, Node.Js and WordPress.
This dedication to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends ensures
that Kelly remains at the forefront of technological advancements in full stack
development.

Murendiwa Nembudani
Murendiwa currently heads the Finance department of Inyosi Empowerment, taking charge of all the finance aspects of Inyosi, including payroll, debtors and creditors. Murendiwa will be transitioning out of these responsibilities and focusing on the mentorship program offered by Inyosi. Our mentorship program focuses on offering beneficiaries much needed accounting support and management insights. Murendiwa previously worked at KPMG Denver, Colorado, USA as a Senior Audit Associate before joining the Inyosi team.
Prior to this Murendiwa worked at KPMG Johannesburg, where she did her articles and qualified as a CA(SA). During her articles, Murendiwa spent 6 months in the Department of Technical Accounting within KPMG where she got the opportunity to work as an IFRS technical advisor.

Sadia Liddell
Sadia is part of the finance department, where she handles Tax and compliance matters and oversees the work of the creditors and debtors clerks. Before joining her current role, Sadia gained valuable experience in Accounting and Business Development while working at an accounting and advisory firm. Currently, Sadia is at the Strategic level of her CIMA studies, working towards earning her CGMA designation.
Additionally, she has completed an online Accounting course at Dawson College in Montana and successfully passed her Tax Practitioner exam.

Zenande Mcetywa
Zenande began as an intern in November 2021, assisting in various Inyosi departments. 2023, she secured a permanent position as a Creditors Clerk. She is focused on creditors payments and assists in management account preparation and other items within the finance department.
Zenande completed Financial Management N6 (False Bay FET) in 2021, Bookkeeping Online Short Courses (UCT), and is currently enrolled in BCom Financial Accounting (UNISA)

Ntombenceba Mtshetsha
Ntombenceba is a Debtors Clerk within the Finance Team at Inyosi. She began her journey at Inyosi in 2021 as an Admin Intern, where she gained valuable experience working with the Investment Team and across various departments. During her internship, Ntombenceba assisted with a range of financial and administrative tasks, contributing to the company & overall operations.
In her current role, Ntombenceba manages debtor accounts, generates invoices, allocates bank statements to Xero, prepares monthly management accounts, and helps with the preparation of fund fee schedules for Cartesian.
Ntombenceba holds a National Higher Certificate in Accountancy and a National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting from Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). She furthered her studies with an Advanced Diploma in Financial Management from Regent Business School and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Accounting at Varsity College.

Sindi Mpompa
Sindi is currently working at Inyosi as a Youth Employment Service (YES) placement coordinator and receptionist.
Cindy completed her final year at College of Cape Town, whereby she attained her basic business management course, levels N4, N5 And N6. Sindi previously worked as a receptionist at Matrix Fund Managers.

Pelisa Mjingwana
Pelisa is a dedicated and hardworking office assistant at Inyosi Empowerment. She is responsible for ensuring that the offices are clean, tidy, and presentable at all times. In addition to her cleaning duties, Pelisa also assists in the office by running errands such as shopping for office refreshments and food supplies.
Pelisa takes pride in her work and always goes above and beyond to ensure that the office is a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone. She is reliable, trustworthy, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Pelisa’s friendly personality and positive attitude make her a valuable member of the team.
