The Inyosi Empowerment team proudly wrapped up a heartwarming and successful participation in The Santa Shoebox Project 2025. This year, the project served as a meaningful team-building initiative that brought colleagues and friends together for a heartwarming cause.
Inyosi Investment team members Stephen Kemp and Mitchel Theron led the Inyosi contingent to guide the process with incredible generosity from both the Inyosi staff and Inyosi itself. Their collective efforts resulted in a pledge of 32 beautifully packed shoeboxes, filled with essential items and gifts for underprivileged children across South Africa.
The spirit of giving created a wonderful, engaging atmosphere. The core team-building activity took place on October 31. Instead of a typical office event, the team came together to shop for items, organise the contents, and individually pack the boxes. Inyosi Empowerment sponsored the bulk of the contents needed. In addition, Inyosi staff also contributed to the contents of additional boxes on a purely voluntary basis.
This hands-on, shared and voluntary process fostered collaboration, camaraderie, and shared purpose among the Inyosi staff. It was an opportunity for colleagues to connect outside of their daily tasks and share a moment of collective impact, resulting in a fun, memorable experience for all involved. Of course, we couldn’t forget that times like this call for the traditional South African boerewors roll braai to sustain the packing and wrapping efforts with everyone coming together to celebrate Inyosi’s support of The Santa Shoebox Project.

The project demonstrates the individual commitment of Inyosi personnel which aligns with Inyosi’s commitment to meaningful community involvement. The Santa Shoebox Project provides a beacon of hope for children less fortunate.
The initiative reached its conclusion with the delivery by Sapna Gihwala, Head: Investments and Mitchel, who delivered all the gifts to their designated Century City Depot in Cape Town. This final step showcased the collective effort and success of the Inyosi team, ensuring that 32 children will receive a special Christmas gift this year.
Inyosi looks forward to continuing its support for impactful community projects in the future.
